72 HOUR FILMMAKING WORKSHOP
Join our three day immersive filmmaking program where youth and aspiring filmmakers learn the fundamentals of screenwriting, filming, and editing through hands-on training and mentorship from industry professionals. Participants collaborate to create original short films in just 72 hours, culminating in a public screening of their work.

Years of experience
VIYFF started as a spin-off of the highly successful Vancouver Chinese Film Festival in the year 2018. We screen films by young filmmakers from all backgrounds.
2022
After two years of virtual festivals, VIYFF returned to having in-person film screenings and other events. In 2022, we presented a joint festival program along with the Vancouver Chinese International Film Festival.
